I found the author’s introduction to be spot on. My love for the Raven Guard increased quite a bit. A good read, one that I recommend for all the 40k universe fans that love an underdog boy-scout-becoming-a-man story: Hailing from Scotland, Graham McNeill narrowly escaped a career in surveying to work for Games Workshop as a games designer.
